AirMaid-ready kitchen hood soon available in USA and Canada

We at Interzon are proud to announce that the reach, performance and ease of installation of the AirMaid Ozone Cleaning System into your kitchen exhaust projects has just become easier. How? The ozone is now in the hood!

Inspired by UV-C Technology

In Canada, kitchen hoods with UV-C lamp technology have been a leading kitchen exhaust pollution control technology. The ozone produced by the lamps mounted inside the greasy hood cavity reacts with organic particles in the airstream to reduce both grease build-up as well as the amount of cooking odor discharged. Unfortunately, producing ozone gas using UV-C lamps has been recognized as maintenance-intensive, costly, and limited in scope as kitchen designers and engineers are limited to the narrow selection of hoods produced by their manufacturers. This inspired AirMaid’s representative in Canada, Quest Metal, to design a better solution.

Then Came AirMaid

Since its introduction just three short years ago, AirMaid has become recognized as a simple to install, economical, reliable and effective solution to maintain clean exhaust ducts and reduce kitchen odor. Since it is considered a component of the kitchen exhaust system and not of the kitchen, this lends itself to being an ideal solution for both new construction as well as retrofits into existing kitchens or remodels. Although simple to install, installation usually requires a small amount of custom fabrication and a fire damper. Not any longer!

The Result – The Quest QLO Exhaust Hood, just drop in an AirMaid generator and you’re done!

With the Quest QLO Exhaust Hood, just drop in an optional AirMaid generator and you will receive the full benefits previously only available with UV-C kitchen hoods, yet with the ease and low maintenance obtained from AirMaid. As you can see in our separate case report, Quest Nuba Case Study, the effectiveness of the ozone cleaning in the Quest QLO Exhaust Hood is remarkable, and since the ozone is introduced early into the hood cavity, its grease and odor effectiveness is markedly improved even on short duct runs. This product will be available very soon, making AirMaid both easier to sell, as well as providing improved results for the owner than with AirMaid alone. And yes, of course it will be fully UL-compliant for sale in both Canada and the USA.
